Why Alpaca Fur?
For over 5,000 years,
since long before the Incas, alpacas have been raised in family
farms for their soft wool and sheered once a year to make
the finest clothing. Today, andean families also rely on their
llamas and the more graceful alpaca cousins to supplement
their diet, so their fur becomes a by-product, just like leather,
as well an extra source of income.
