Lucuma Designs presents an innovative collection of handmade handbags and fashion accessories designed to express your creative personality. Our designers and talented Peruvian artists work together to handcraft each piece, one at a time; creating a collection filled with unmatched originality, imagination and quality. Each fashion accessory represents a fair trade between you and the individual artist who handcrafted it.

A trip to the colorful markets of Peru in 1998, provided the spark for the Lucuma Designs collection. Designer and founder, Alessandra Bravo adopted an approach to design that not only brought her ideas to life but inspired Peruvian atists to be expand their talents and imagination. Her passion for the colorful folk art from her native country is reflected in each of our collections.

Today, her sense of style succesfully combines fashion with the artist's creativity as it is evident in each original 3-D Art Quilt Bag, Painted Wood Purse, and Wool Tapestry Handbag. Fine craftsmanship and the exquisite texture of our Alpaca Fur handbags allow the material to speak for itself.

With a green heart, designer Valerie Doehler uses recycled tires to create our newest and earth conscious collection of Fashion Tread^TM Handbags.
